Laois School of Music and the Portlaoise branch of Comhaltas Ceoltoiri Eireann, are joining musical forces this Wednesday evening, 25th May at 7pm in Portlaoise College Sports Hall for an End of Year Concert. Admission is Free – all Welcome.

Laois School of Music will be represented by The Orpheus Orchestra, Senior Ensemble and Flute Choir and Portlaoise Comhaltas will be represented by the beginners group, Ceili Band, Groupa Ceol and the Adult Group. Ahead of Portlaoise hosting the Leinster Fleadh in July, this concert is the first of its kind, mixing the traditional with the classical. There are a number of cross-over players who play in both groups so it is a great opportunity to hear both styles of music under the one roof.
